Experience what their concerts are like, these are just clips (that are on all the Experiences pages) of the concert that was held here in Toronto!

This 98º concert was taken at "The Guvernment" here in Toronto Canada on Dec.13th /97. They gave a good performance and looked great as always!

The concert was supposed to start at 7:00pm and the doors to open at 6:00pm. My family and I arrived there (well just my mom, my sis and I) at around 4:30pm and we started out by waiting in the line for about an hour and a half. The people in front of me were talking about 98º and Backstreet Boys...then all of a sudden the whole crowd started singing "As Long As You Love Me" for some reason then this girl behind me started getting carried away and sang every Backstreet Boy song on their second album and my mom was there like is this a Backstreet Boys concert or a 98º concert?? Well the doors were supposed to open at 6:00 but it didn't so the crowd started chanting "let us in...let us in!" A girl started screaming out "get with the program" and then another one yelled "Open the f**kin door!" So around 6:15 they opened the door everyone started linking up to their friend's arms and then everyone started barging in, it was like run...stop...run...stop we kept on banging on to people as we were rushing in! then the guy who was in charge of getting the tickets was screaming no pushing or shoving or else u won't get in!!!!! So everyone was started to calm down! when we got near the guy ripped our tickets and we rushed right to the stage because the place was like a party disco kind of place it had disco balls and a bar and stuff and at the very end there was a stage so everyone was practically squished at that part! Well the concert was supposed to start at around 7:00 but it started at around 7:15 and everyone started whispering how there was going to be an opening act! And there was by this group called Day by Day...they sang pretty good songs but I was anxious to see 98º ... the Day by Day group started throwing out posters of them and unfortunately i didn't get ne! Then the group ended their song and the lead singer said "thanks guys enjoy 98º"! then it took until about a quarter to eight til 98º came on...I was in a pretty good position until they came on...there were so many girls screaming pushing and shoving and I was so squished that i couldn't even lift my camera up...my hair was like a major mess and there was this girl who kept on putting her hand up to touch them and i couldn't see nething so i was like "can u put ur hand down please?" i think she was trying to ignore me so i just lifted both my arms and i think i elbowed her in the side but i didn't care the girl was practically killing me! and before I knew it I was way at the back that was how wild the concert was! N-e-ways it started off by the announcer saying "How would u like to see Drew"!!!! the crowd started going wild "Jeff" *screams* "Justin" *screams* "Nick" *more screams* "98º"!!! and that part was screaming, yelling names people jumping on eachother, stuffed animals and roses thrown onstage...it was a kaos!! They came out singing "Come and Get It" I think and the crowd went wild! they sang alot of songs too but i can't really remember...at one point when they were singing this song Drew all of a sudden said "I gotta take a break" or something like that then he went backstage and the rest of they guys continued to sing. then when that song was done Drew came out all by himself and started to sing that Puff Daddy and Mase song " Mo Money Mo Problems" He looked so cute as usual! But the lyrics were all different.. He didn't sing the whole song...then the rest of the guys came out Nick and Jeff wearing no shirt but had overalls on! *faint* they are so cute !! and Justin and Drew were wearing overalls but with a shirt on! and the crowd as usual went wild! then almost near the end they all pulled up stools and started singing Invisible Man. Oh yeah at some parts when they were singing they gave out roses to people! whoever got them was so lucky! So at the end they came out from backstage and threw out towels to the audience! Nick had this towel and went to the center of the stage and started wiping it all over his chest and under his armpits! it was pretty funny though! Jeff did the same thing but only to his chest i think! and they threw it to the audience! whoever got those towels is soooooooooooooooooooooooooooo lucky! Hits 103.5 were there too!! Oh yeah i forgot to say they sang Silent Night like Boys 2 Men nearly in the beginning. It was a really great performance that I will never forget!

~Geneviv's Concert Experience~

The morning of Saturday Dec. 13, 1997 I woke up at 5:00am (after going to sleep at 3:00am) The friend I was supposed to go with didn't even call or show up. Oh well. I get to the line around 7:30am and there are two people there. And after talking to me for five minutes asks me if I have a website (am I that transparant hahaha) But they were very nice and others came at 9:30am, they were very nice too. I did have to listen to BSB all day though (who if you don't know me I REALLY AM NOT A FAN OF THEM sorry, I swear it got to a point where I was actually singing along AAAAAAAAHHHHHHH and one of the girls come up to me and was saying what are you doing I said "hey listen I am going with the flow because I can't fight it anymore!" In my defense this was after around 6 hours OK? But we listened to Usher (yes!) and Our Lady Peace for some reason too. Unfortunately most of the crowd didn't start coming till 4pm so I could have gone to the Walmart to meet them and still been in like 4th row! AAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH But I did get first row which was my quest hahaha. The average age was not 13 I was sooooo happy! I would say it was about 17 which isn't bad. And I look younger than I am (which is 24) so when everyone found out my age they were going "NO WAY" And I was saying "It's the same age as the group so give me a break" hahaha After standing all day with the washroom 4 looooooooong blocks away (Industrial area you know :-( ) we were let in just after 6pm. The opening act started at 7pm and were called "Day by Day" They are a rap group out of Montreal, I had seen them open for 98° in Montreal so I know this. They were good, I liked them anyway. And hey they liked me, at least the dancer and one of the singers did (the ones that were at my side of the stage) OK now after a long break between groups we get to see 98° 98° came out wearing the Red sweatshirts that most of you have seen that say 98° and DAMN DAMN DAMN did they look FFFFFFIIIIIIIIIIIIINNNNNNEEEE. I am sorry for those that have not seen them but they look so much better in person it isn't even funny. The only one that I would say photographs well would be Nick, but he was still better looking in person too. Anyway at this point the girls were pushing me from all directions and these girls who weren't at the front before, pushed their way up and were trying to shove me out of the front (they did not succeed and probably weren't happy about it) I have to complain now, around a quarter of the way through 98° set all the girls behind me had their arms up and kept banging my head with them! I swear for most of the show my head felt like it was in a vice. There was a moment when the arms lowered a bit and I had visions of being strangled at the concert it was that bad. But I will get back to 98° now OK? (as if I had to ask) They sang beautifully (of course) and started with Come and Get It. The people in the front row were literally at the stage, there was no barrier put up at all. The security guy at the beginning asked the first ones there to please don't go on the stage hahaha He was begging us the way he said it. I told him I couldn't get up that high anyway because it was higher than my chest. He was nice and offered to hold my bag and jacket for me. They also sang a christmas song which just happens to be my favorite Christmas song "Silent Night" (coincidence I don't think so, I just belong being friends with the group I am so much like them hahaha) and it was sooooooo beautiful! Now all this time Drew has looked at me and smiled. Justin has looked at me and smiled. Nick has looked at me and smiled! Does Jeff, look at me (my favorite member) NNNNNNNNNNNNNOOOOOOOOOOO! I made a sign when I was outside that says "Jeff Thank You For Signing My Website LOL Geneviv" Took me 45 min (I had nothing else to do hahaha) I put it right in front of me on the stage because my hands were full with a hat and camera. Jeff reads it looks around and doesn't even glance at me, assumes it is the person behind me that wrote it for some reason (I have no idea what reason that could be) and smiles at her. Not only that but later the sign got pushed onto the stage a bit by everyone that was pushing my head. Nick sees it picks the sign up and reads it to the whole place. I thought this is my chance! I tell Nick it is mine and Jeff looks at the same DAMN girl behind me and points and says Your Welcome!!!!!!!!" I was so upset. But the other three were wonderful ;-) And yes I touched all three of them. All except Jeff of course :-( There was a time in which something happened to Drews mic so they stopped the performance while they fixed the "Audio problem" as Nick puts it! And they just stood there and talked to the crowd for the whole time. While Drew walked around aimlessly hehehe and then they gave Drew a mic with a cord which they can't use for the show because it would get in the way, so Drew looks at Justin and puts the cord around his Nick, sorry neck (guess what is on my mind hahaha) and pretends to hang himself but at least he could then talk to the crowd while they were fixing the cordless mike. The talking was really great and Justin looked down (I swear I love him) and asked ME if I was getting crushed and I said "Yes actually I am!!! And he then said to the crowd "Hey everyone the girls up at the front are getting crushed so everyone just take a step back. And I was yelling "Thank You Justin" "I Love You" Of course everyone ignored him because I didn't feel any less crushed. But the man did try and that is what I loved (he tried again 20 min. later too) When the concert got back going, in between songs Nick looked down and and saw me and HE asked the crowd to move back. I think I looked the most crushed person there because the girl behind me was saying to her friend "I feel so sorry for this girl in front of me" and she asked if I was OK and this was the time when I kept pushing these damn arms off my head. And told her "NO, I'm not. It isn't you it's these damn arms" because she was apologizing for pushing me from the back but it wasn't her fault for that and I could stand that. They eventually sent in a security guard who came right beside me and got he girls off me (Thank You God) And guess what everyone? The whole first roll of film that I had taken got destroyed! And there were some wonderful pictures on it *sob* The camera for some reason did not rewind and right there at the show I was struggling to change films and when I opened it up after I saw that it wasn't rewound, I was so upset, and then it still wouldn't rewind so I had to physically yank the film out of the camera so I could put the next roll in. But I missed around 10 minutes of them right in front of me trying to fix my damn camera. Boy did they sound sooooooo good. OK outfit change what did they change into hehehe *evil grin* Well Drew and Justin changed into overalls with a yellow shirt It looked great! What did Jeff and Nick change into . . . . . . well since you asked hehehe They both changed into the same overalls minus the yellow shirt DAMN ALL FOUR OF THOSE MEN ARE FINE But as everyone knows I think their music is THE BEST and couldn't care what they look like, but I am allowed to notice whooooaaaa Well they were great, and the concert was great and they gave out huge roses to the crowd (I didn't get one, Oh Well) They finished with "I Wanna Love You" are did they start with that? I am so confused hahaha But does it really matter what they start and finish with as long as you know they sang the songs hahaha. ;-) LOL I left the place very upset because Jeff didn't even glance at me, I have to admit. But today I can look at it in a different perspective and the other three were such complete sweethearts! Especially Justin! Anyway, I am going to stop writing now and if anyone has any questions about any of the guys from my perspective of the concert just write me. ;-) geneviv@hotmail.com All and all it was a great performance but they looked a little tired I have to say. I think the touring was getting to them by this point. Also because it was general admission I got bruises all over my arms and crushed against the stage all night so I wasn't enjoying it the way I should have been. I CAN NOT WAIT until they do places that have assigned seating *cheering*

Well enough of my blabbering here are the pics: Click here for her pictures

~A concert at Shadybrook Farms~

I don't remember the date exactly, it was like Oct. 13th or sumthin like that. I went with 2 of my friends Erin and Lisa to Shadybrook Farms at like 12:00 in the afternoon, the concert didn't start until 3:00, but we knew that they would probably be setting up. Throughout the whole day it was pooring. When we went there they were practicing singing Invisible Man, so my friends and l just stood and waited for them to come off the stage. When they finally did, Justin, Nick, and Jeff like ran to wherever they were going, but Drew was talking to someone. When he was finally done, he walked up to us and smiled (l wanted to die then) then said "is it cold enough?" We studered out "yeah" then he smiled again and said "see ya at the concert". We flipped out for about awhile, then went and sat down. So about 3 hours later LaClique came out and she sang her 2 songs. Then 98° came out, somehow, l really don't know how, my friends and l got into the front row. They looked SOOOOOO good!! They were wearing navy warm-ups with lime green shirts- they looked hot as hell!! Drew had the best hat on a navy hat with a lime green yankee's symbol!!! lt was really cool. They started out by singing "Don't Stop the Love" They really didn't hold anybody's hand during that song. Next they sang "Come and Get It". During that song Nick bent down right in front of me and held my hand and sang to me, then he sang the actual words "come and get it" and l don't really know how to explain it but he like motioned w/ his hands to come here. My friends and l were like flipping out!! Then they took a break, and just talked to us for a little, then they sang "Invisable Man". The first time they sung the chorus, Justin held my hands and sang to me. Then Nick came back over to me and held my hand and Lisa's and sang part of the second verse to us. When they sang the chorus for the second time DREW (my fav) came over to me and held my hand and sang the whole chorus to me!! l was crying!! Then when he went to stand up, he took off my ring by accident, then smiled (which has to be the most gorgeous thing l have ever seen!!!!!! He has great eyes and a great smile!! **may l also say he has a NICE ASS!!!!sorry l had to write it!! ) and he put it back on, then he walked to the other end of the stage and Justin came back over, he bent down and held Lisa's and my hand and sang to us again, then they went back and sat on there stools and finished the song. They then got roses, and threw them out to people, Justin gave one to Lisa and Drew gave one to me, but some rude lady ripped it out of my hand and ran with it. Drew just looked at me and mouthed sorry and showed his hands to show he had no more then he smiled, l didn't care seeing him smile was enough for me!!!!

~98º at Wal-Mart!~

Well, I went to Wal-Mart at Markville at about...8:30 in the morning. And I knew that 98° wouldn't be there until 1:00 in the afternoon. So I knew i had at least 5 hours to wait. Well, when i got there, Wal-Mart didn't even have any place prepared and set up for them yet. So i walked around until i heard the CD player going, and followed the sound to the gardening section. They told us that 98° will be signing their stuff there. So i met a few people...talked to some, and just sat for the next 5 hours. Then this one guy who REALLY did look a lot like Justin looked over a few desplays and everyone started screaming!!! Then because we all thought we saw Justin, the next guy (sorta) looked like Nick, we all started screaming again!!! And they kept playing the same 2 videos for Invisible Man. Which actucally everyone got sick of really soon. So sick this one girl got up to put her BACKSTREET BOY CD into the CDplayer! When they finally showed up, (may i mention 20 minutes late too??) absoultly EVERYONE screamed so loud that I went deaf. Litterally!!! And cuz i was the first like...50 people (girls were sneaking in their friends into the lineup) I was taking TONS of shots while they were signing. Jeff was first in the "lineup" and he signed my CD cover. Then i gave him the bracelet, he said he loved it, i told him i love his singing, and he asked my name, i told him, he then said "thanx for the bracelet angela" and i almost fainted. Justin was next in this lineup. And he signed my cover...then i told him he had a really sexy voice that i loved. he kinda blushed and said thanx, i gave him (for some reason) the shortest bracelet, and told him i hoped it fit, then he said "i'll make it fit!" Then there's Drew! I said hi to him, he looked up, smiled *faint* and said hi, then i said to him "i'd say you're adorable, but you're probably sick of hearing it" and he told me "naw! i still love when people say it" then i asked for his pen he signed my cover with and he said "sorry, it's the only pen they gave me!" And finally, Nick! I said hi like the same time he did, which was really funny. Then i gave him the bracelet, he looked really happy and said thanx, then asked if i was going to the concert tonite, i said no because i didn't have tickets because they were sold out (i wasn't sure of that, but i didn't wanna say i just didn't buy any!) and asked if he could sneak me in! then he said "i don't think so, because everyone would be watching!" then i got pushed off the makeshift stage and took one more picture. Well, thats about it really.

~Kristy's Meeting & Concert Experience~

On Dec. 14th 98degrees was here in London, Ontario, Canada. My sister really wanted to go to the mall and get their autograph so my mom drove us over to the mall and I waited in line with her. They guys were suppose to arrive at 1:00pm. but had been delayed in Toronto and ended up being 20min. late. There were girls screaming for Nick, Drew, Justin and Jeff. Many had roses with them to give the guys. Anyways when it was our turn to go up and get them to sign our cd cover i shook Jeff's hand and said "hi". Next was Drew. He was so nice and friendly (they all were but Drew happened to be the most) I couldn't believe it! He asked my name and I relplied "Kristy". Then he wanted to know if i was going to their concert tonight. I said if i could still get a ticket because as far as I was told by my friends they were all sold out. He wanted to know if i was still gonna try and get one and I told him "yes". He said "good cause I hope to see ya there". After talking with Drew and shaking his hand I went over to Justin and talked with him for a bit. He was such a sweetie too. Then was Nick and I said "hi" to him and shook his hand aswell. When I got home from the mall I told my parents I was gonna take the city bus over to The NAC(where the concert was going to be held) to see if there were any concert tickets left When I got there I was so lucky. There were only about 10 concert tickets left. So I gave the manager my money only I needed some change and he didn't have any on him at the time. He told me he'd be right back and went to the safe. As I waited in his office I heard a girl yelling "Send em up the back way". I turned towards the door and two seconds later I saw Nick walk past me singing the Christmas song the McAuley Boys were rehearsing (a group of brothers who live here in London. They sang the song "Down, Down, Down"). It was so cute. Then Jeff and Justin walk by and next was Drew. He entered the office and gave me the biggest smile. All I could do was return a smile back to him. I was speechless. The concert was to start at 7:00p.m. that night with the opening act The McAuley Boys. So my friends and I arrived around 5:30p.m. and waited inside with the other fans listening to music. At exactly 9:00p.m. 98degrees came on stage and performed the best concert I had ever been to. I had the privledge of being in the front row. That night I wasn't able to get ahold of a rose the guys were giving to the crowd but Nick and Justin did sing to me and I made eye contact with Drew quite a few times. I must say I will never forget the luck I had that day. Meeting them 3 times aswell as talking with them. They are truly the sweetest guys you could ever meet in your entire life. If anyone knows how i could possible get ahold of them I would really appreciate it...I need to ask them something....my e-mail address is HWClarke@Lonet.ca

~Erin's double meeting of 98º~

The First Time was on October 19, 1997 (It was a Sunday) We woke up, got ready and left our hotel at about 10:30am.(There were 9 of us) We arrived just before 98 Degrees, so we had to wait until they showed up. When they arrived they did a brief radio interview, they sat down to eat. After brunch, they signed some autographs, took some pictures, etc. Then they left. The doors at Spectrum (where the concert was being held) were set to open at about 6:00pm, so we left our hotel at about 5:45pm. We had reserved seats so we didn't have to line up. But some people had been in line since the Friday. The concert was just great. There were two opening acts: Day By Day and Samantha Cole. Then came 98 Degrees, they came out in yellow shirts with black overalls and then later on changed into red shirts with white pants. Oh, during the show when they threw roses, Nick threw one right at my friend from Toronto (who I met there) and she actually caught it. Then after the show we went backstage and got some pictures and some autographs and chatted with them for a bit. Then left.

The Second Time was on December 11, 1997 (It was a Thursday) For the Vancouver Show, earlier in the day was an autograph session at the Wal-Mart in Coquitlam and unfortunately I couldn't go but some friends of mine did go and they said it was nuts. There were so many people there. Anyways, the concert was set to begin at 7:00pm and the opening act was Nickola (she's a local singer from Vancouver). Then out came 98 Degrees, this time they cam out in red and white, and changed into yellow and black. When they came out in black, Nick and Jeff came out wearing no shirts, while Justin and Drew were wearing yellow shirts. At this concert I was pushed right up against the stage (It was worth it). They sang most of the songs from their album as well as "Silent Night" and their new song, "Was It Something I Didn't Say". They also threw roses (again) and this time I caught one, but only ended up with half of it, while my friends Sarah got Nick's water bottle and Meghan got a towel. At the end of the concert Drew actually threw his HAT. After the concert, I went backstage and they actually remembered me from Montreal, which was cool. I chatted with each of them for a bit and got them to sign the pictures of me with each of them that were taken in Montreal and got more pictures taken. Then a little bit later we had to leave.

~Once I Met Them...I Fell In Love With Them~

Well I met them on July 23rd, 1997. A local radio station was having a free concert on the riverfront for summerfest like they always do. From the moment I heard they were having it on the radio I knew I had to go!!! I had went the year before and it was blessid union of souls. It was Ok, but I was hoping for a better one this year, and I figured it would be with them hosting four bands: Jana (I'd NEVER heard of her), Flick (they were really good), DJ & company (they sing Rhythm of love), and 98º (the love of my life, even though I didn't know it then). Well me and my friend went. We got there pretty early and sat down pretty close to the front. I wasn't very interested in the other bands, but I sat through them. No one stood up during Jana, but during the others everyone was on there feet. Then 98º came out. Every one went wild, we were like almost in the front row. the cops were working over time to keep everyone back. the whole thing was CrAzY!!!! I was SSSSSOOOOOO mad at my mom for not letting me bring the camera. After the show, they were going to be signing autograghs, so me and my friend Angel ran over to the tables. We were so close to the front of the line that we were talking to the people selling stuff!!!! Then the cops started making everyone move back. We did, not wanting to cause any trouble. Well I think we were the only one who did. We waited probably twice as long as everyone else, two hours. We were there till midnight!! When we finally got up there, I told one of the people we were talking to earlier, "Hey 'member us we were in the front of the line, we got pushed to the back, and have been waiting for 2 hours!!!" She told the guys and they were SSSOOOO sweet, saying they were sorry, I got their autograghs like three times (one for my sis). then a few weeks later I joined the fan club and me and Angel e-mailed them. We never thought it went through so we kept on sending it. We ended up sending it a million times, and they wrote us back and said they remembered us. Cool huh??? I got there album the first day it came out. I got to the store at 10:30 am and there was only two left. my friend got there at 11 and there was none left, she couldn't get her's for almost another month. Everyone in Paducah LOVES 98º!!!!!and we can't wait for them to come back!!!!!
